LIBR 1105. Introduction to Library and Information Science (2-0-2)
An introduction to Library and Information Science concepts and Information Literacy competencies. It includes the research process, nature of information, efficient and effective access, evaluation and use of information, ethical/legal issues, and the role of libraries in society. The theoretical framework for this course is complemented by practical applications aimed at gaining basic Information Literacy proficiency.

LIBR 3705. Seminar in Library/Information Research (1-0-1) Prerequisite: Junior standing. Examination of authoritative source materials, including but not limited to reference materials, periodical indexes, and electronic resources in a particular discipline or subject area. Discipline, topic or focus will vary with instructor. May be taken twice for credit with different topics.
