Columbus State
University serves a wide variety of students, from the traditional
recent high school graduates, to adults with one career behind
them and another to be discovered with additional education.
More than 700 students live in campus housing and a growing number
are from the Atlanta area.
Our students are pursuing two-year, four-year and graduate and
specialist degrees, as well as taking courses through the Division
of Continuing and Regional Education Services. We have students in
the military and students from more than 50 countries around the
world.
Fall 2003 enrollment was another record year, hitting 6,937. Most
of the students were from Georgia, but more than 850 were from out
of state and 101 students were from foreign countries. More than
2,200 students were under 21 years old and 1,674 were 31 years
old, or older. About 950 students were in graduate school. Sixty
three percent of the student body was female and 38 percent of
students were classified as minorities. |
